"I'm Snuffin' You in the Concentration Camp" by Holip sism

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

This has been one of my favorite spoken word poems since 2010. Ironically, I heard it 1 year before I became an Anarchist and maybe 3 years before I understood Anarchism enough to call myself a Voluntaryist!

In this video, Youtuber Holip sism's reads his original poem, which first appears on October 23, 2009 as a post on his blog; speaking to the frustration one feels fighting for Freedom in a context where most others, all be they enslaved, could not care less to be free. It has great "visuals" and an ironic levity considering the heavy nature of the poem.

If you decide to watch this poem, PLEASE NOTE there are "N" bombs so not work appropriate. If HR catches wind tell them you so called Black friend Kieran so it is cool. Also PLEASE make it so that in your mind's envisioning, the poem's narrator is not directing his frustration solely at so called Black people, but rather ALL people!

In other words, all you ni**as!!!

Taxation is theft.

Statism is slavery.

Hehehe, busting ya furniture down your throat! No, but for real: unity is good as long as all participants want the same thing. As soon as someone has differing wishes, unity isn't desirable any longer. Else we find ourselves marching in one-step (to the concentration camps).

As long as you want freedom we good

The way I see it is this: I can want whatever the fuck I want. Most likely it's the same as what you want, though there's always a chance that it's not. If it is, we might want to work together (if we both want to) up to the point where we don't any more. If not, we should go our separate ways. However, if I want to hurt, or harm, or own you in any way, you should want to do something about it. Simple as.
