I cannot defeat what never stands in opposition,
yet relentlessly it takes and takes.
When one loves, the end is sooner,
For love perceives no time - love is timeless.

This cruel joke,
To slow the suffering, and haste the joy.
oh time! why can't you sit still with me?
Young are the worried, and old weathered silent.
There is peace in time, but not in mind.

We deemed you Time!
so what is truly stripped from us?
Birthed by the belly of judgement,
so seen defeat across the lands in hindsight.
We strip ourselves of opportunity,
but 'time' stands accused.

Time is remembrance, illustrated within.
Ah, but forgetting...
perhaps this is the gateway - not knowing.
Traversing the canyon between thought,
towards the 'timeless', towards love and peace.
may we forget, so our hearts can breath.
