Another night has gone by.
And the words in my mind have dressed up In an attempt to come together and rhyme, once again
Just like a hundred times, they have done before.
But you won't let them.
You erupt in my poetry every time
Trying to conquer commands, You fiddle with letters and make me write lame lines
Denying to even spare the spaces left in between
That hold no memories of us.
I find us together
And apart
In the same poem every time
With my eyes matching metaphors
Of dreams and wide smiles.
The ink knows your name
Better than mine
And so the pages shiver
Witnessing another poetic crime
Days move on,
More cracks fill up the Old wooden racks and empty closets.
I imagine about another guy
Who happens to live On the other side of the world
He creates another cliche
With new hope for me To write another poem
About his love which lasted a month or so,
And another night will go by As this one did
Like several years ago.
