Flossing - Original Poem

I floss my tears, caught in my teeth
like a body swinging in the breeze.
Pouring from my ducts, a molten flux,
a penitent sigh, I cry. I floss my tears.

Years pass, I floss tears from my eyes.
They still come, in the shuddering hum,
an internal earthquake, a guitar strum
fading, like water draining in its wake.

I floss my tears, the well runs out of water.
Find quietness, practice forced laughter.
No matter, my strategies, I’m squeezed
in those cacophonous chord smashes,

on the flood walls of my inner shore.
I floss no more and the flood gates open.

This post is in response to mariannewest freewrite writers prompt which can be found here. The prompt was the sentence I floss my tears. The picture is from moziru.com free to use, please follow link for verification. In this freewrite I felt the need to do some editing to the poem after the 5 min time was up. It just wasn't right. However, I wrote no new verses but did correct grammar and got some suggestions for word/imagery changes. I hope this is ok, just this once.

A big thanks to both The Writers' Block +
Isle of Writes groups for helping me work-shop this poem.
Particularly, I would like to thank sunravelme and geke.

Beautiful words that converse with my soul, and come to an agreement just not to cry. Thank you for sharing.

Ha ha. Yes, it's a gin addled tyranny on a Saturday night out. Crying and getting in to fights over the last bottle of Lambrini wine ;-) Always a hoot and a hollar when you stop by @buttcoins
