How do you sleep
With bullets ringing in the ears
And knives scraping concrete earth,
I want to shape my passions
The sea of my senses have risen
Its waters lash against my hope,
I want to shape my passions
That grow like brain tumour
The agony of my solitude
Come from this pain of germination
I have rivers of passion
Rivers that foam with passion
Fed eternally by drizzles of tears,
The sea made misery on sailors
The soil made misery on soldiers
The sky made misery on pilots
And the pen shaped the misery,
The fruit of passion will ripen
On the fertile soil of our wait
For how do you sleep today
With bullets ringing in the ears
And knives scraping concrete earth
Unless you yearn suicide sleep.
There indeed would be no sleep with the bone chilling sounds of war.
