One with Bear
Following the winding tracks it laid
Through forest, stream and darkened trail
Upon the knife the hand had stayed
To slip, to lose grip would mean to fail
Stepping with care across leaf and stick
A crack of twig, to warn of coming storm
The surface of stone from sweat now slick
In the lair of the beast to be once reborn.
Searching the ground for the fallen blade
At heart it fought to strike and attack
Memory of muscle wound tight, no fade
Forcing beasts of mind to take steps back
Wolves howled loudly to mark the night
Repeating the words of the forever tale
Joined together as one to face the fight
Against the darkness to together rail
They were no more, for they were wound
She tamed her beast yet it held her soul
The bear and woman entwined and bound
Two faces of strength to conquer it all.

I enjoyed that. Thank you. Do you have bears in Finland?
We do. I have never seen one in the wild though. My daughter is the bear here, she has a ferocity of will inside that I am interested to see how it will develop.
Philosophical, fantastic and creative with lot of sense. Thanks for sharing
It reads like a bear plodding along a trail while being in conflict. One has to imagine a lot of broken items in it's wake.
Who is the woman, who is the beast
the woman and the beast are same
Brilliant poetry, a man of many skills
My daughter, she is the bear.
