Misunderstood: African Ode

I am a man
A lover of simple things
A needle, pin
Is smaller than the things I take serious
I'm always curious
Passionate yet quiet
Woke yet soft spoken
My core's glowing
Ablaze with the will to excel
Desire to fare well
Exhale as I reach for new heights
Blue lights
The sky resonates with my heart beat
Life's sweet
When you have the recipe for a smile clipped.

I'm not weird
I'm not creepy
I'm not lazy
Im not sleepy
I am lost in the maze of resources
But they only exist in my mind
I must work to show myself approved
A lion's tooth
Hangs as a pendant inside my Zion suit
Full fledged black man, so "Oppressor* I've got my eye on you

They don't get my hustle
Or the path from which I've come
You have your junk food and grapes
I drank from bison horns
Wrestled with tigers who sought to invade the village
Soldiers who would rape and pillage
Even a dumb phone was golden privilege
Don't judge me cause I don't fit into your plot
I stand as the cream of the crop
The special generation promised by the gods
I may seem aggressive, but that's because I've fought for everything I got.
