The black dot
in her jelly-like eyes
is where the story begins.
Amidst the throng of people
with divergent tones & skin color,
she thrives almost self-existently
as with the sovereignty of blackness.

With beauty painted in the thickest color shade,
& not laden by Western day cosmetization,
She strides on this terrestrial expression.
Her voice chimes
with the dialectal undertone
of White ancestors
who once proclaimed us Colonies.

In the manner of cherished plants
past their season,
she goes her way
but resurfaces
with the spontaneity of rains in dry season.
