Warrior oleanders

Oleander is a very common plant in different parts of the world. In Venezuela, it is known as "the flower of the queen", but in the world there are different names: laurel flower, pink laurel, trinitario, Roman laurel.

Nerium oleander, it is thought that its scientific name derives from the Greek Nerion, from the Latin Nerium associated with Nereo, god of the waves of the sea and father of the nereids and oleanders: Latin epithet Olea de olivo, due to the similarity of its leaves with that tree.

As we found in Wikipedia, the most characteristic compound of oleander is oleandrine, a glycoside with a very toxic steroid structure, similar to those used in heart failure.

It is said to be a very poisonous plant with very strong actions in the heart, for this reason its use for home medicinal purposes is not recommended and, therefore, it must be subject to medical control.
For some time, studies have been included for the treatment of oleander cancer and, in this regard, it is stated that:

The cancer cells result in a good functioning of the pump of the Na + K + enzyme system for its reproduction, this system is the target of new anti-cancer drugs, such as oleander, and human tests have been carried out with promising results.

If you search the web, you will see that there already exists in the market, in the treatment of cancer and AIDS, compounds of the oleander. That's why I say that oleanders are warriors and that's what these haikus are about.
