Essence of Halloween

Pumpkin carcass
soothing essence fills the room
sweet smoke
of inhaled baked goods.
Walls are glowing
of tender reflections of sunlight
through mysteries of scary night.
Make room for death and intimacy
celebrations of darkness
in light of forgotten truth
