A robber who took an undisclosed amount of cash from the Bellagio Poker Room on November 28th is still at large.
Still a popular topic conversation among players at the Bellagio and other Vegas card rooms, the suspect robbed the cage at gunpoint, however with his back facing the room. Very few knew what was going on.
Actor and poker regular James Woods was present at the time of the robbery, but like most had no idea it was going on. He stated that the Bellagio staff were "fantastic" in their handling of the incident, and that:
“They surrendered the money quietly, so no customers would get hurt,” Woods said. “Nobody even realized it was happening. In true poker player fashion we all were focused on the hands we were playing and nobody actually realized it was happening. The gunman pointed his weapon at the cashier with his back to the room.”
