One thing we can all agree on, if “We the People” are going to take back America, we need to figure out a way to stop special interests from being able to lobby our politicians. In order to do this we must get our politicians to change the election and campaign laws. Both parties candidates get huge contributions from corporations and wealthy individuals. I am not naïve enough to think this is going to be an easy task but it needs to happen at the grassroots level in both parties to make it happen.
I do not care if you consider yourself a Democrat, Republican or Independent the term “We the People” applies to us all. If we are going to leave our children and grandchildren, a country where we the people run the government instead of the deep state and the corporations we need to change the way things are being done.
Below I am going to list some bullet points for changes I feel would put “We the People” back in charge and leave our Constitutional Republic intact.
Please list in your replies bullet points that you feel could change our present condition or head off potential problems in the future.
All campaigns at the federal level would be paid for from tax money. Do not stroke out on me here we would have to have some very strict guidelines to qualify to receive a tax funded campaign.
Corporations would not be allowed to donate anything not money, manpower, or favors.
Political action funds from special interest groups would not be allowed to donate.
Private individuals would not be allowed to donate money but they could donate their volunteer time.
All campaign funds must come from tax money only!

The rules to receive funds would have to be established and strictly and he adhered to.
Some suggested rules could be as follows for candidates.
A. The national candidate would need X millions of registered voters on a petition to get on the ballot.
B State candidates would also have to have a (number to be determined) of registered signatures.
C. The primary and presidential campaign would only last a total of six months.
D. There would be one debate a week on TV during prime time in the middle of the week for President
E. The news media would not be allowed to ask questions at scheduled debates.
F. Questions would be asked by different groups in rotation according to party equally.
G. The TV network hosting the debate would be different each week.
H. As their patriotic duty the television networks would be required to sell airtime at cost.
I. Details on airtime for state officials would need to be worked out.
J. No one at the state or federal level could serve more than two terms.
K. After one or two terms politicians would return to their civilian occupations.
L. There would not be any pension for their service.
M. They would have good health insurance while they serve, but none after their term is over.
N. Any laws they pass applies to them to the same degree it applies to other citizens.
