In response to Donald Trump’s alarming comment declaring that any North Korean nuclear war threat would “be met with fire, fury, and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before” in response to Kim Jong Un’s unrelenting missile tests and reportedly threatening America with “nuclear weapons of justice”, comedian Russell Brand took a dig at the American president and used his witty humor to analyze whether Trump is an actual threat or just a manifestation of anger and angst in one section of the American society.

On Russell Brand’s latest episode of The Trews, Brand responded to Trump’s aggressive threats:

“So many of our ideas that we take for granted, that we don’t look beyond, need to be radically challenged. The world needs to change significantly. Donald Trump is merely a symptom. But I hope that the office of presidency is not vested with the kind of power that we superficially assume, and the personal characteristics such as the fragility that this TV, talking head expert described isn’t really bestowed upon political leaders.

“The true power operates differently and what we’re dealing with is superficial (while being important in some areas of Trump’s bizarre presidency) shows of power, rather than actual power itself.”
