It wasn't Trump's idea. Scapegoats have proven useful since the beginning of time. I see all these developments as a sign that the economic crash everyone is talking about is right around the corner.
We need someone to blame so the people in charge don't get blamed. Simple as that.

That tracks. I won't be surprised if the economy tanks as soon as Tramp gets voted out of office and the next person inherits the shitstorm.
