Simply said — the more the dollar drops in value the more expensive goods are from other countries.

And the US buys a great deal from China since over the last 50 years the US has closed over 60,000 manufacturing plants.

These products cost more as the dollar goes down.

You work for a living and when you go to store to buy a product that is rising , that means you have to WORK MORE hours to afford those products. ....so it is like a “pay cut”.

IF over time the US would be able to bring home manufacturing due to lower corporate taxes and products are made in the US — then it becomes “good” to have a lower dollar when you “export” good to China —- but this would take many many years to make an impact.

We import oil...lower dollar...higher prices....gas prices go UP.

Not picking on China...pick any country you import goods from..it is the same.

Hmmm...now what goes up when the dollar goes down?

Your thoughts?

Crypto market goes up when the dollar goes down ☝️

Maybe...but so does gold and silver

Sure, Precious metals and oil as well, also real state may go down since people will not afford extra from their salary in usd ... generally many people start losing hopes in any fiat nowadays and for the future

Lower dollar encourage start up businesses in US.

If you are not importing from China...very true.
