It truly is stunning to watch these people veer off into Loony Land, thinking that their shrinking base will propel them to greater electoral victory. This is why Trump's war on the media is so important.
The more pressure he puts on them, the worse things get for them, the more desperate they become and things like this actually make it out of the strategy sessions and into the public discourse.
