One of the most horrific acts carried out by Sadaam Hussein was the Halabja chemical attack that took place on March 16, 1988. This is one of the reasons stated for going in and taking out Sadaam, as the WND narrative suggested. Now Turkish forces have gassed the Kurds in a similar fashion using a toxic substance. My question here is, why is Tirkey still part of NATO? They have gone rogue and they are presenting more and more of a threat to the region. Now they have solidified that threat status, by what seems like violations of the CWC of 1993, or other conventions that prohibit use of chemical weapons. President Trump and other NATO countries need to show Turkey the door, and say GOOD RIDDANCE!

Sort:

how bout we just dissolve NATO?

That would be even better! The conditions that sparked the creation of NATO, no longer exist. NATO had its day, but that time has passed. I'm with you, Abolish NATO! The we could watch the neocons' heads explode. LOL!

You seem to be laboring under the mistaken presumption that our politicians are altruistic people who act out of the kindness of their hearts. The exact opposite is true. No other career attracts psychopaths in numbers that great. Turkey is a strategic partner in the destabilization effort I mean spreading freedom and democracy of course.

I agree. Have you read my posts? I'm not exactly one to ride Uncle Sam's jock. Governments are inherently evil and it will act to further government interests if it is permitted. Our country was founded by individuals that knew this fact, and America was an attempt to form a government but to keep it in shackles, and limited in its scope. What is puzzling about my original post regarding Turkey, is that Governments are about self preservation, and it threatens their relevance, when they come off as blatantly hypocritical, not that they aren't capable of hypocrisy, but they try to avoid it at all costs. For an international community that says they are against the use of chemical weapons, it is odd to that we have not seen distancing from the Turks, or an attempt to spin. I don't know, maybe that's the reason why the story has not hit any major news outlets.
