In any event, I have started off a bit of a chat, about sharing general ideas about propulsion off in our little private chatter sections, which, I am quite happy to talk about my ideas, not sure if others would like them shared or not, so I will not do so, unless they wish it to be incorporated into an article, but the whole general premiss of the discussion, was technology exchange.
To copy, verbatim, for the outline I have instructed the e-sports club, I will share with you, as I think it’s a rather insightful topic, and a jolly good idea for a debate and or discussions, not that I expect anyone out there in hive land is going to read this, but not withstanding, please do share your thoughts in the comments below, and no, that wasn’t just a shameless plug for Awesome Astronomy, but, all the same, I’m sure Millard would get a giggle out of it, as, most of my Mars knowledge comes from those chaps anyway, when, of course, I used to listen to podcasts all the time on the train.
And interestingly, just as a bit of an experiment, I shall generate the art, by placing, the ideas into the AI and let’s see what it comes up with!

The Rules

@everyone For the space nerds (like myself) kicked off a discussion in the cray channel about propulsion, if your into it, take a gander, and feel free to weigh in, if you want, going to go play some games, will circle back around and read responses whenever, just go one at a time, think of it like how your congresses, parliament, debate clubs work etc, one at a time, don’t go tit for tat otherwise it will get messy.

America would probably be thinking "You first" sure,

Instead of the present way we think of solar sails, essentially, you use created light, very simple concept, a sail, is just a piece of fabric, and then uses the wind, once you invent a turbine, you then, have the ability to create a self-propelling sail, size, and output, is the maths issue, but, lasers (light) and solar sails (propulsion) yes, quite slow, but quite reliable and safe, but ships are not that fast in and of themselves terrestrially, and you don’t always need to get places super quickly.

Typically, in academic circles, they very quickly discard anything with known flaws, there may be flaws yes, however, those are engineering issues, not impossible issues to resolve, which is why I do say, despite the fact many of my favourite astronomers, notably Millard, are quite critical of Musk's plan for Mars, and I agree with the science she has discussed, it is accurate as far as I understand it, this is not to say, that technological developments have been made outside of the public domain, or are presently being made outside of the public domain to address those concerns, though, with his approach, it will, be, quite dangerous, mine, is a far more civilized, elegant, and most importantly, safe, method of propulsion and transportation, with very little danger to "colonists" or "space citizens" or whatever phrase they wish to use,

Perhaps the Americans are slightly braver than I am in that regard, but placing top intellectual minds and assets, on top of what ostensibly is a ballistic missile, and hoping it doesn’t explode, or something goes wrong, seems like a rather, strategically unwise thing to do, to me - which is why my propulsion and transportation ideas, and colonization ideas, are radically different from your present way of thinking - that is all - as we say here in Australia "Mr Speaker has advised me my time on that topic is up and to promptly stop acting like a bell end and embarrassing the country" duly noted.

Now see, isn’t that a more polite way to compliment a lady, rather than cat calling or being vulgar about it? – wish I knew that in the past, oh well, we live and learn don’t we.
But yes! I finally got to Athertine, I suppose I find the Aesthetic appealing as when I was younger, I was quite enamoured by the Victorian Gothic aesthetic, still am, truth be told it’s a lovely design, and Athertine is very much in my view the “Steam Punk” city, and anyone who is familiar with those two gothic sub-cultures will be aware, there is a lot of overlap, its quite rare to find a Victorian gothic person, who doesn’t like steampunk and vice versa.
Have a wonderful afternoon.
