Angry, hurting, hormonal, confused, disappointed, vengeful, hateful, aggressive, scared and blinded by her own feelings. Its impossible not to feel sorry for her. It makes excellent television for sure. Makes the news channels tons of money. The more drama the better right, but for whom?
Putting confused children like this in the limelight is very dangerous for their entire generation. We are giving validity to wild emotional outbursts, indirectly telling our kids..."scream and cry at the top of your lungs if you want people to hear you".
No one is saying she doesn't deserve to feel the way she does, nor that we dont feel sorry for her and her friends, but it simply isn't healthy to allow this to continue. I predict this poor girl and the others alongside her will seriously struggle to grow up to become stable and sound adults. This is not the way to support our youth. This is so, so wrong. Their parents are cowards for not speaking on behalf of their children. They should have, if not only to give them a more respected voice, but to shield them from the scrutiny and public humiliation that comes with being famous. Or perhaps their parents are rubbing their hands together, knowing all the financial profits they will gain by exploiting their own children. That indeed is shameful.
