Does Wikipedia have a leftist bias?

in #politics3 years ago (edited)

Mike Lindell and many other conservatives and libertarians have claimed that Wikipedia has a leftist bias. I thought I would test it out and see if it was true, so I googled the Wikipedia article about John Earl Sullivan.

John Earl Sullivan is a man who was at the Capitol Building on January 6th, at the time the riot broke out. He claimed he was a bystander, who there just to take pictures, and ended up going inside the building, where he took a video of the riot with people chanting "stop the steal" while windows were busted. CNN used his footage as evidence that Trump supporters are violent and out of control. He was later arrested under suspicion of being linked to the event, and later let go.

His Wikipedia article
His Wikipedia article says "some on the political right accused him of being affiliated with antifa, though federal authorities had not identified him as such and he has stated that he has no relationship to the antifa movement."

Scrolling down to the bottom of the article we see how his page is categorized.

Contradiction?
Is it just me or does the article contradict itself?
