Hi. Here is a piece I'm reposting from my Facebook blog, written on 24th January. It's absolutely my most popular bit to date, so seems as good a way as any to kickstart my blog on Steemit.
I was very angry about this! Consider this fair warning - 'PROFANITY ALERT' - here goes.
'The Presidents Club' meet for an exclusive male-only charity dinner at London's prestigious Dorchester Hotel. Sounds great right, bit of food and drink, a few laughs with 'the guys' and all to raise much needed funds for good causes like Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
Yeah – except it isn't great. This is where some of society's most disgusting capitalist filth descend for an orgy of financial peacocking, cronyism and outright misogyny under the thin veil of 'charity'.
Aside from the needlessly opulent dining and no-doubt tedious elitist banter, the real treasure of the night is the small army of hostesses; over one hundred women, chosen for the criteria of looking like catwalk models and needing 150 quid badly enough that they will don skimpy outfits, painful heels and tolerate a litany of gropes and lewd propositions from plutocrat leeches. CEOs, square-mile financial terrorists and corrupt Westminster sock-puppets down over-priced drinks, grandstand the obscene wealth that they hoard and pat each other on the back for sticking a bit of change in the bucket for the proles after a not-at-all hard day increasing the canyon-like width of today's wealth inequality.
Then there's the auction prizes which I think portray the target audience of the event perfectly. Notable purely for self-serving patriarchal oppressive bullshit was the gift certificate for a plastic surgeon to 'spice up your wife'. But perhaps more interestingly, was a lunch date with Boris Johnson and a bonus afternoon tea date with Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of England. C'mon, I'll credit even the majority of champagne swilling piglets with the notion that they wouldn't want to hang out with Johnson and Carney for the entertainment value of their anecdotes.
This is cronyism being sold in the name of charity. This isn't about helping anyone but themselves. Whatever they sling in the bucket is a mere drop compared to the oceans of money these people have already made from privatising YOUR healthcare and services, rigging financial institutions into collapse driving both ordinary people and the state into unrecoverable debt slavery, or by exploiting your labour whilst keeping all the spoils for themselves. And if they haven't done that already, then that's what they ASPIRE to do.
I fucking hate the concept of 'charity' and I wish it didn't exist. 'Gawd, why do you hate charity Some Bloke? You are so mean-spirited, those people are trying to do goo- ' … oh SHUSH now!
I hate charity because it's a symptom of rigged and highly unjust system. I hate charity because it's a smokescreen for your Jimmy Saville's and your Ed Savitz's to coordinate the manipulation and sexual abuse of vulnerable children en masse. I hate charity because it provides an excuse for wealthy people to tell poor people to put hands into threadbare pockets to fund papering over the cracks of a broken system, for poor people to sacrifice what little they have to fix the problems and injustices that these wealthy scumbags HAVE CAUSED THEMSELVES TO SATISFY THEIR OWN GREED. If these people weren't so manipulative and greedy there would be NO NEED FOR CHARITY because the common people would HAVE WHAT THEY NEED.
THAT'S WHY!
So yeah, this so called charity event is a fucking charade. You can read the FT report linked below for more explicit detail about what the hostesses endured from which notable attendees. I posted that article on my personal page last night along with some comments about how this epitomises the nature of capitalism and hierarchal privilege and I think most of the people who commented understood why I was so angry. However when any post like this gets even a small amount of traction, someone will pop up say they can't see what the big deal is. 'You're overreacting', and 'it's probably not worse than your average hen-do' and 'hate the sexism but don't hate the fundraising or the wealthy.'
Err – no I fucking WILL hate the wealthy thank you very much. Before you label me as a jealous reactionary hater, hear this. I've got nothing against success. I've got nothing against people owning a pleasant home, collecting some nice things, and wanting to provide stability and some comfort for their family.
What I hate is NEEDLESS HOARDING at the expense of people who've got next to fuck-all and struggle from paycheque to paycheque or from pitiful handout to pitiful handout. What I hate is the unearned privilege of excessive intergenerational wealth. What I hate are the elitist societies that run through prohibitively expensive private schools, encouraging ruthless entitlement and sneering at the vulnerable, and the forming of an express lane to powerful positions in the corrupt institutions that are supposed to serve us the common people.
Damn right I hate the wealthy. Just look at the way they behave in the name of 'charity' no less. To say 'it's like a hen-do' displays an ignorance to patriarchal oppression and rape culture that I can't even begin to fathom. A drunk bridesmaid yelling 'cmon get it out then' to a male stripper is nothing at all like the constantly belittling and genuinely scary ordeal that these young hostesses face. Students trying to make ends meet while ham-faced, snorting businessmen shove buttery hands up their skirts, whip their pathetic cocks out in front of them and proposition them to their hotel rooms later to indulge their sexual kinks. I'm sure in numerous cases triggering some painful memories they'd long to forget.

And you say I'm overreacting? NOPE. I'm not reacting enough. I think we the people aren't reacting enough.
I'm fucking sick of it, witnessing my peers be willing bootlicking supplicants and mealy-mouthed milquetoast apologists for the horrific and reckless behaviour of these capitalist cunts. These utter cunts who know#ingly cause suffering while they congratulate each other for amassing the wealth which should be YOUR reward for hard work, YOUR hospitals, YOUR schools, colleges and libraries.
No I don't think I'm overreacting AT ALL. Why are you an idolator to corporate corruption and abuse? What's in it for you? I tell you what – unless you are sat in the same boardrooms or the same dinner tables that they are, FUCK ALL is in it for you. You are effectively helping them by manufacturing consent. Consent for them to inflict worsening misery on the majority of people in this country who are being forced further and further into debt slavery, destitution and death. This isn't hyperbolic overreaction, this is reality. Don't you see?
Neither do Great Ormand Street Hospital think this is an overreaction either. BECAUSE SINCE THE FT REPORT CAME OUT – THEY HAVE REFUSED TO TAKE THE MONEY.
That's right, they don't want to take money that has been raised this way, a token gesture by the very class of people and in some cases the ACTUAL PEOPLE that deliberately underfund hospitals so that their cabal can step in to look like saviours in their bought media. All the while bleeding even more public money into their offshore island paradise. Great Ormand's see more value in NOT SUPPORTING THEIR DISGUSTING CORRUPTION AND MISOGYNY than they do in taking their frankly insulting handouts. And good on you for that Great Ormand's. Good on you.
So no. I don't think I'm overreacting at all. These sick pissants need to be brought to justice. Actual justice, not a meek apology and a slightly smaller bonus this year. Strip them of all their assets, redistribute to the people they STOLE it from and make a very public example of them. Part of me wants to see heads on spikes along Bishopsgate but brutal death is the easy way out. They deserve the elongated humiliation of being made destitute and to be ridiculed day after day wherever they point their battered paper-cups to plead for coins for their survival.
Fuck these rapists of society. FUCK – THEM.
