Unity, Diversity, and Love are All Around Us - Turn the TV Off and Get Away from Facebook and You WIll See It

Mexican Restaraunt

Lesson of the day - get your mind out of the gutter of television news and Facebook bullshit. Here I sit at Mexican dive in New Braunfels. The patrons that sit along with me are entirely old Caucasian seemingly conservative folk. I ordered in spanish with my waitress, a beautiful latina woman who is likely first or second generation in America. As you go further in the kitchen, I imagine most cooking the food are first generation and maybe some may even be undocumented. The point is, NOBODY IN HERE CARES! Even if some of the patrons are Trump voters, in the real world, enjoying a meal with your fellow humans, no one cares what country they were born in. We're all humans and in this beautiful state, we are all Texans.

On a related note, compared to the rest of the country, Texans and Mexicans have a rich and integrated culture called Tejano. Many mexicanos in Texas have roots here that go back further than the Texans that settled here in the 1800s. Cowboy hats, solid family values, hard work ethic, and enjoying a beer after a long day transcends what ethnicity someone is.

Focus your energy on what is going down around you, in the real world, not on the controlled narrative being trumpeted by Fox News or your Facebook algorithim. We are all brothers and sisters on this wonderful spinning rock we call earth. Set your differences aside and embrace one another. Much love!

Beautiful message and I couldn't agree more. The differences that are constantly forced down our throat are created by those who have an agenda to divide and conquer. We are so much more alike than we could ever imagine. Love is the common thread that unites us all.

Agreed. I don't have a tv and I'm off facebook. Fed up with that bullshit of watching the brainwashing device, or other people's holiday pictures who are not real friends. The world is so much bigger and better than that. I heard that recently more people have left facebook than ever before. Hopefully good change is slowly happening!

That is a beautiful observation. People just want to 'be'............ I mean nothing else when I say 'be' but to actually allow people to be what they aspire in there present and future.

To be allowed freedom of thought is the most essential component of freedom. Even some of the most conservative doctrines acknowledge that fact. To sit in front of mass media brainwashing tonic feeding spots like facebook doesn't allow that.

To see people being just who they are in front of each other (like in the example you show above) is even far more hopeful then it might appear.

Thanks for sharing this and of course to @adamkokesh who resteemed it to my feed!

yup, once ppl get to know "the others" in person, their fear & hate magically dissolves.
