I am attracted to libertarian philosophy because I want liberty for myself. I want to live in a libertarian society: to be left alone and to be free. But freedom should not be given, it should be taken or earned. Most people do not want freedom, can not handle freedom, and do not deserve freedom. So why should they have it by default?
A libertarian society would not be ideal for normies. They do not want or deserve liberty. What I want is a society in which it is possible for those who seek and desire liberty to be able to attain it if they strive to do so. The United States used to be this way. Perhaps it can one day soon return to that state again.
