Hi all ...
I am busy with doing the groundwork for a new music album, and this time i like to use the wisdom of the crowd. The project is still in the concept phase, but non the less i can really use your input
It all comes down to the following question, that i would like you to answer.
What are the things that we as humans and society loose with the expanding digitalization of life?
I’m looking forward to the answers i’ll get
And off-course, i will keep giving updates about this project on steemit in the future, so if you answered the question, and joined the wisdom giving, you can see what we have created out of that!
Thank you
@crypto.piotr i do not think that i have enough reach to really get the ‘wisdom of the crowd’ here, but you do, so maybe you can help me a little bit mate and re-share this post, so i might get a couple of good answers. 🙏
We are losing, the "lack of information".
Funnily enough I found myself in a situation today where my usual way of doing things has now become digitalised. Usually have to take official docs and have them checked by someone at the post office, but now it’s download an app, scan QR code, scan driving license and take a selfie all through the app. I miss the personal interaction tbh, even if it does mean a drive into town.
I can see benefits and pitfalls to digitalisation though, less paper for example, or less need to travel frequently, which are obviously great for the planet. Information systems are great for learning opportunities where they may otherwise be hard to obtain (although on the flip side of that I know people that have mis-educated themselves due to misplaced trust in reliable sources of information).
The main problem I have with it is the total reliance everything seems to have on it right now, with no contingency if something fails. We don’t know what might happen a few years down the line if all this technology can no longer be utilised properly (although I’m an optimist, hopefully it won’t come to that).
One thing I don’t understand - I saw a fridge the other week that had a built in Spotify app...why is that even a thing???
Potatoes like good music too 😉
privacy is virtually non existent.. Little play on words there :)
defo there are advantages and and risks entailed all depends on who is leading those innovations and what is their real purpose for, more freedom or more control, more loss of jobs or more work opportunities, empowering the people or cutting down costs... among many questions I also ask myself, big topic that might require you a series of albums to capture the current state and its progression as no one can predict the future and what it entails. Good luck with the album looking forward to see what u come up with, Salutes!
Thanks for your reply, it actually made me think of something that i might add to the project 😉 because indeed, this is a topic that you can have a whole philosophical discussion about, and even though this particular album is focusing on what ‘get’s lost’ because of digitalization, there will be also many things we will gain from this.
the ability to hold a face to face conversation or human interaction as a whole really
oh and for my answers:
That is exactly what i was looking for
