Christopher Robin, the Movie

Christopher Robin and stuffed animals in the Hundred Acre Wood... If you're a Winnie the Pooh fan, chances are you will absolutely LOVE this movie. Magic and a dream-like atmosphere (not because of the stuffed animals appearance, but because of the environment as a whole) will delight you and make you remember your childhood like nothing else lately.

The movie, nonetheless, has a slow start: you may have to wait until you start to see real movement into the film.

The movie starts off with the childhood of Christopher Robin and his relationship with the characters of the Hundred Acre Wood. As the first minutes progress, the early life of Christopher Robin is disclosed until he becomes a full-grown adult (played by Ewan McGregor) with a wife, and a daughter, and a stressful job at Winslow Luggage Company.

As Christopher Robin gets really stressed out with a difficult decision he has to take in the middle of the movie, he encounters with Pooh in London, far away to where he used to see him (at a Sussex cottage).

The moments when Christopher Robin and Pooh interact are the sweetest of the movie, especially when Pooh tries to understand the real world while applying his child-like logic ('silly old bear!')

After trying to bring Pooh back to the Hundred Acre Wood, Christopher Robin reconnects with his inner child and spends a whole day with his old friends. However, as he wakes up, he remembers that he has to deliver some "important papers" to a meeting scheduled for that same day.

After a while, you can imagine what happens: an against-the-clock kind of environment develops at the final part of the movie, and, finally, Christopher Robin discovers what is truly important in his life, and understands a message his wife told him at the beginning of the movie: "Life is moving in front of you!". Carpe diem maybe?

With Eeyore, Tigger, Pigglet, Kanga and Roo, Rabbit and Owl, you will have an amazing adventure, despite what some reviewers are saying. Also, it is probable that a series will be developed after this movie's success in the new Disney Streaming Service!

And remember, "doing nothing can sometimes lead us to something"!
