Completely agree, there are stories here on Steemit of Steem helping them out of poverty. Heck, it's helped me pay down some debt.
On a separate note, I noticed that this is a 100% power of up post. Did you know that if you do the 50/50 payout? You sell the SBD for Steem you'll get more Steem because SBD is currently trading above a Dollar.

Brit! Being from the UK my self I don't think Crypto can help the poor! Personally if I didn't have a stable decent job, I wouldn't be doing crypto as I would of not had the money to do it in the first place! There is too much risk for the general newcomer not being experienced enough in Crypto as they would have a lot to lose and would rely a lot on the money they probz would want to invest! Steam is a better option as there is no initial out lay but it does take times to get your steam power up! Unless you have good blogs every day!! Just my thoughts dude!
I'm thinking along the same lines as you, williams858. I don't have the extra funds available to me to outright purchase BTC, Bitcash or much of any alternative currency so I have been relying on my own mental acuity to create content in hopes that it will get noticed by some of the whales and possibly raise some coinage. It's been a tough road thus far and often times I end the day highly disappointed. I try to post quality content that is original each day but so far no one's biting.

From what I have seen now. It looks pretty good.
Alot poor people have already get Bitcoins and they can take it out into the country without the banks makes problem
Right now a lot of people getting education in social platforms and this allows people to use the services without government control them

A stable currency is good for everybody, including the poor. Politicians and central bankers run the printing presses and dilute the value of the currency that we all hold. This is especially cruel to the poor--it is outright theft from the most vulnerable.
Most definity Theft.....but crypto now is not stable.....but the potential is greater for price to go up than falling to $0

Hello my friend, I use steemit to try to make some extra money. Because despite the fact that in Venezuela the energy costs are cheap. Costs to purchase equipment are expensive. For the political and economic situation we have today. The current minimum salary is about $ 20. So mining is almost impossible. I'm following you as long as you enter Steemit. You have good post.

I started on Steemit as a means to supplement my income and I have seen a little progress over the last couple of weeks, but seriously nothing to brag about at all. I think the more content I create hopefully the more income I will potentially open myself up to as well. Thus far my content has only made a few cents in comparison to accounts with a lot of followers, and who pay for promotion. It's disappointing to put out content that doesn't get seen while those who are schmoozing up to the big names have seen hundreds of dollars incoming. At this point, I'm not able to do anything for family or close for friends with Christmas right around the corner and being in between jobs. Hopefully, things will pick up the more I invest my time here on Steemit and as we enter into a new year. Here's to hoping for the best.
