The biggest error made by all singers is to try to emulate the original song, the original singer's voice... Nothing more wrong!! Of course when someone hear you singing a song he wait for a similar melody in your voice, but it is often just a replay, a past and copy, nothing personal!
What is the best and quickly way to sing an original song, whit your voice and not whit the original singer voice? Just try to sing a song of another gender...if you are man try a woman song, if you are a girl try a boy song... In this way you cannot copy the original voice, and the result will be close up to your real voice and nothing more!!
Here I would try to sing "titanium"... A song made by one of the most beautiful woman's voices in the world, now sing by a man voice... Sorry for my English!!!!
