As you know, I love photography and contests ^^ Almost every day I propose a speed-game with the application @steepshot and you are every time more to join us =). After the success of the MACRO-PHOTO CONTEST, the SUNSET PHOTO CONTEST and HE BEST B&W URBAN PHOTOGRAPHY, I decided to make a new one:
๐ผ THE BEST PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST!!! ๐ผ
A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer.

This is the Wikipedia definition. But for this contest I accept only photographs. Maybe another time I'll do a contest with drawing, painting or sculpture.
No need for specific material for this contest, it is accessible to all because even with a smartphone it is possible to have a beautiful photo portrait.
๐ท You need to have is the agreement of the person photographed to publish his image.
๐ท The photograph can be in black and white or in color.
๐ท There are no age, gender or ethnic origin.
๐ท No nude photography.
In my last contest again, there were dishonest participants who used pictures of other people. I do not tolerate this kind of behavior! The philosophy of this platform is based on quality and authenticity, not copy. That's why I have to put in place strict rules to avoid cheating. - A 2nd photography with a paper with "My entry for the PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST by @flamingirl" IN FRONT OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY. Not only a paper because it does not prove anything. Thank you ^^.

This second photo does not count for the contest but it is the proof that the first one is an original photo. This avoids any attempt at plagiarism that is not tolerated on this platform. =)
โ Your photography must be accompanied by an explanation of at least 50 words (in English, French or Spanish)
โ Your entry must be published on your personal Steemit account with the title "My entry for the 7 DAYS ๐ผ PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST! ๐ผ by @flamingirl"
โ Your photography blog must be posted before 0:00 of the day Time zone in Spain to be valid. After midnight, it will be part of the next selections day. Each user has 1 entry per day that will be valid for the challenge.

Crazy wide open F0.95 of this magic vintage manual focus lens just turning the ordinary world to pure fairytale. Here is natural light portrait of stunning (actually redhead) model. Very shallow DOF just provides amazing feeling for this portrait.

@flamingirl, For sure, these kind of contests increase the Engagement Levels in the Steem Economy and this engagement is needed when Steem is facing the crisis to some extent.
And Photography is our daily activity but in my opinion just photography is not important instead we have to put our vision before capturing so that we can capture an truly story telling picture.
And yes, when we are entering into an Authentic contest then we have to showcase our original work, and most importantly we should not compare our work with any one else because when we compare then we will evaluate our work and then we depress because we are comparing our work with others and then people try to cheat by adding some others work to addon their work, so to be original is important to gain the respect.

The important thing is what the image conveys as emotion and obviously the authentic work is necessary!
