I guess this is my favourite 2-light setup to shoot ladies :-)
Of course there is a lot of space for experiments, but you have to start somewhere. And for me such a no-brainer is a clamshell setup (one big light right above head at 45 degrees + reflector just below the frame for fill) with an extra light to have some gradient instead of boring solid background.
Nice catchlight in the eyes, well defined cheekbones, nice shadow defining the jawline.
And when you have a model like Marta, it's a pure fun :D
Well done and a nice emotion capture. You can also try bouncing a bit of light under the chin, it sometimes creates a better portrait light.
Good point.
Sometimes I use another light for fill from below (tip for less experienced readers: you have to be carefull, it's easy to overdo), but this time I had only two lights so I had to chose... adn decided to use this flash for background light and just a simple reflector for fill

Great lighting tips. Not that I have the equipment, but it teaches us hobbyists to look at how we frame ever better.
Thanks @sukhasanasister :-)
I think I'm going to prepare some a bit more detailed tutorials on how to get into using the lights even if you have not much money to spend on gear. But now I'm a total steemit newbie, and I'm trying to build some visibility before I post something bigger ;-)
VERY sensible. Take it from me...on my last legs already, only three months in...
