Mustang Sally, American Diner in Pretoria!!

It seems that my wife and I were gallivanting quite a lot recently and we were eating out a lot.

This weekend was no exception. We visited Mustang Sally's which is an American style diner in the middle of Pretoria. Normally it is a true diner type restaurant, but due to Covid-19 there was restrictions on the use of restaurants. These guys made a plan and converted to a roadhouse. Although they did not have the traditional roadhouse trays that hooks onto your car's window, they just made planks, covered in vinyl, which they put through your car, resting on the doors, serving as a table.

Although the restrictions are now lifted, and we may now eat in restaurants, the seating space is limited, due to social distancing rules, thus the guys at Mustang Sally's kept on with the roadhouse idea in the parking lot as well as serving people inside the restaurant. This increased their capacity quite a bit.

We had milkshakes, hamburgers and wraps!! Delicious.

I am becoming hungry all over again while writing this post.

We had quite a lot of fun, as we had an excellent waitress and a funny guy in the car next door to us, with which we shared some jokes!!

The food was also great, we are actually hoping that they will keep this idea going after all restrictions has been lifted.

It just shows you that even under bad circumstances a plan can be made, which in the end turned out great with people enjoying the new way of doing things.
