Now sit across the table from a jobseeker

Sit across a child and ask a question. The child will "visibly" start thinking, and then speak with an animated dedication to his/her thoughts.

Now sit across the table from a Jobseeker. The questions are common, and have done the rounds. You both are well versed in this game. Ask a question and the Jobseeker enthusiastically delivers the well rehearsed response. No thought, no passion, but beautifully articulated and wonderfully delivered.

On a certain day, you ask a question that springs spontaneously to mind. Now, the Jobseeker goes blank, or, grins sheepishly, or, afraid to take too long a pause, stumbles through a response while s/he thinks through it.

As a recruiter, I seek this spontaneity of response. I have never planned the questions that I ask. Because each person is different, their stories are different. I wait for the moment when the eyes light up, unable to contain your enthusiasm.

And if we share this moment, and you seek what I seek, I know, that this will work for both of us.

nice opinion! but if I may ask, is there any connection between your writeup and the picture???

No connection

But I think god is also a recruiter
