Destiny is indeed a decree from God, but we have a prayer to change something that was not possible before.
Do not you really ask with your hands, because even when you say wrong it will be a prayer, it's just that sometimes you don't realize it.
But even though everything you can ask for, then watch in asking. Ask for something that can make you happy when in the world until afterlife.
For example, don't ask for something that can only be soothing to the eye, but it must be soothing and can make us better towards His heaven.

remember, when we ask, teach the heart to always be sure even if at least anything we ask Him.

So, try to always be fervent in praying to God, so that God also believes that we truly believe with full hope in Him.
Do not despair if it turns out your prayer has not been answered, because only God knows when you need what you ask for. You have to be more patient, especially if what you ask is about the arrival of a soul mate.
Because obviously God will not bring you sooner or later. Because, God will bring your soul mate when you need it.
So be patient as much as possible, because only God knows when you will be really good with what you ask.
And only God really knows who really makes you always good with him.
Pray until you don't feel that prayer is an event in asking rabbul a'lamin, but more than the obligation of a servant to His Rabb.
keep on praying, let alone when you haven't met him, because even when you meet you have to pray asking that your soul mate is not only in the world, but in the hereafter.
