RE: Nicaragua in Crisis – The Compound

in #preppers7 years ago

I was just reading through some of your updates. Do Nicaraguans or just expats or a mixture live in your compound. I'm sorry it has come to guards, guard dogs and hiding out! Wow, that's so crazy that someone tried to climb the walls!! Do you live in Managua? I wish there were something more that I could do. Please do keep us posted. I hope that your food run today went well. Do you have a nurse or doctor there with you?

We live in Poneloya, Leon. My son lives in Managua. The people in my compound consist of my family and my Nica neighbours. Most of the ex-pats left months ago. I am a registered nurse practitioner (retired). We also have a doctor of herbal medicines here living nearby that we can call on. Our compound is fairly well equipped. The food run went fine, but we are very tired. There will be a post about this either tonight or tomorrow.

Wow, so glad the food run went well. I am glad you are all safely back at the compound.

We are and I was beat, but we lost our power at midnight and with total darkness comes fear and no one slept. At 2 m there was a loud explosion near us so things were tenser. Today we had a baby girl at 4 pm. I haven't had any sleep in 36 hours, so I hear my bed calling my name...
