Thanks to the excellent work of @adapt2030 the missing puzzle pieces have come into view for me. The coming collapse of the global economy has weighed heavily on my mind for quite some time.
How could my family survive the downturn? I knew cryptos would be a part of the solution, but that would not be enough on its own. I studied many alternatives (i.e. geothermal, magnetism, Tesla, etc.), with a heavy leaning toward inexpensive and ecological technologies that are reliable in most climate extremes. There are far too many interesting and promising technologies to go into detail over, so instead I offer my top ten choices in no particular order followed by a brief description of the top three.
Walapini
Earth bag housing
Root air pruning (i.e. fabric pots)
Sub-irrigation techniques
Vertical wind turbines
Geothermal
Tesla steam turbines
Rocket stove/mass heaters
Full spectrum LED grow lights (ex. Spectrum King LED SK600 series)

To have a shelter that can withstand many climate extremes one need look no further than earth bag housing. Some refer to this building style as super adobe and it also has the branded name Cal-Earth. The materials are relatively inexpensive, but the catch is the sheer amount of physical labor involved. This is best done with lots of help. From the research, it would appear that a mix of on-site dirt and crushed lime (quarry fines) is ideal in creating dense insulation as well as durable walls. Please keep in mind that your ratio of on-site dirt to lime will vary depending on the content of your site. Synergies: geothermal, rocket stove mass heater.
How to grow plentiful food year round, even during climate extremes? My go-to answer is the walapini underground greenhouse. Synergies: Geothermal, Sub-irrigation (constant supply), Root air pruning (increases humidity), Composting, Worm farm, Permaculture, Full spectrum LED grow lights, and Rocket stove mass heaters.
The one technology I have the most fun trying to come up with new uses for is the Rocket stove. Most applications of the Rocket stove I find on the internet pertain to environment warming such as the mass heater, but this beautifully simple technology is far more versatile. The top of the burn barrel would make an ideal pizza oven if properly enclosed. You could coil copper tubing around the barrel and then enclose it, and connect that coil to a Tesla steam turbine and the requisite components to keep it running. Synergies: too many to list.

Thanks for the tips. I mentioned Adapt2030 because I just happened to stumble onto his youtube videos. That was the catalyst that allowed me to get a clear big picture view of current events.
