I am a Service Technician for HP and Lenovo and somtimes I have to repair a Printer. And I have to admit that Printers are probably one of the more challenging products to repair. So many differen screws, small connectores, moving parts, gearwheels and so on and so many different parts that can be damaged or failing. Whenever I have a printer ticket I always have a little bit of stomach ache since I often don't know what exactly is awaiting me. But when I am sucessful in repairing the printer it is a lot more satisfying since you know all the effort was worth it.
But sometimes it is not possible to repair it since it is sometimes difficult to identify the failing part and replace it or sometimes a part is so difficult to exchange because it is very inaccessible. This can happen easier on smaller printers than on the big ones since the smaller printers are built very compact and parts can be inacessible pretty easy there.

Bin mit einem HP Laser Drucker auch verzweifelt, relativ feuchte Umgebung im Keller, Papierstau und seitdem Streifen beim Drucken, alles außeinandergenommen, gereinigt, war ein Horror, danach eine Seite halbwegs ok, aber Aussetzer, dann Toner geschüttelt und wieder Streifen, zum Verzweifeln.
Ja, wenn die Streifen längs der Papier Richtung sind dann könnte es das ITB welches man auf dem Foto sieht sein. Weil ja dort der Toner haftet und auf das Papier gebracht wird. Und wenn es nach dem Putzen für ein paar Seiten geht und anschließend nicht mehr dann tippe ich sehr stark auf das ITB (Intermediate Transfer Belt). Toner bleibt dann an falschen Stellen haften.
Aber Fuser (Laser) könnte ebenfalls das Problem sein.
Danke für den Tipp, vielleicht sollte ich ein neues Transfer Belt probieren. War überrascht, dass Laser-Printer so anfällig und auch nicht so leicht zum Warten sind.
Ja überaschenderweise sind die großen Business Geräte einfacher zu Warten als sie kleinen Office Geräte. Aber das ist der kompakten Bauweise der kleinen Office Geräte geschuldet bei denen manche Teile relativ schwierig herauszubekommen sind weil sie so verschachtelt drinnen stecken.
This brings back memories of my employment as a technician at Olivetti in the 70s. Gradually the newer machines became smaller and more compact, and it was a nightmare to repair them.
Yes the smaller ones tend to be more difficult to repair. I like the bigger ones, they are usually easier, parts are a lot more accessible. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Cars are the same, as everything has been crammed into the confined spaces around their motors.

Totally relatable — small printers are the worst with how cramped everything is. So many tiny connectors and gears packed into a tight space. Makes it super satisfying when you actually fix one, though. If you ever get stuck on parts or diagrams, sometimes calling brother customer service phone number can help point you in the right direction.
I have a phone number of HP and they helped me out already several times, but still printers can be challenging compared to other devices I repair.
