To be able to bridge this gap, I learned to draw.
However, what I found is that people still couldn't grasp the future concept I was trying to explain.
While trying to gauge interest in a project, people would just tell me to build it, and then they would give me feedback. I doubt they realized that what they said meant, "go forth and waste the next two years of your life, and then come back and I will give you a minute of my time." And they called themselves friends.
Now, my drawing skill comes in handy when I am asked to make cabinets for people. I can draw what I intend to build, and thus get close to what they actually want.
