I believe that coding is the only real superpower that a person can have through his or her life. Knowing how to code gives you the ability to do anything you want in the way you want it by just having a computer. You can contribute to the development of the world or you can destroy the world having this superpower.

People tend to say programming is a genius thing, however, I have seen people who have dropped high school success in the computer field.

Let's look up at some examples, I know that many of you have played a game saying while playing it, this game needs something else like better controls or better dungeons. Well, you can develop your very own game knowing how to code, yes, I know that it may take you a while depending on how complex that game can be. But, you can do it if you want to.

Let’s say that you want an app for your smartphone that does a specific task, but you can’t find it anywhere. Here is when your superpower comes handy, you can develop that specific app that you may need the way you want it to be, isn’t that enough?

Learning how to code is not an easy step but it can be done. I really recommend you Phyton as your first language program because is the most user-friendly programming language based on what I have seen.

You don’t necessarily need to master a programming language but you have to know how to understand it and how to work with it. One thing that makes you a great programmer is knowing how to research on the internet. It is always right that when you don’t know something you search it up on the internet.

All you need to start coding today is time, dedication and persistence. Don’t expect to be a programmer tomorrow in the morning. Good luck.

Nice advice, had a moment of indecision on which I should start with python or Java. What's your take

All depends on your needs but I rather say Java. Why? Because it is harder but you will get used to its syntax which will help you with languages like C and JS.

If you can learn Java, Python is easier and since you will have the programming's logic, you will get it so quick.

Thank you. In school we were thought the basics of python. I really wanted to get into developing mobile apps, was playing around with the Android studio app. I will take your advice on Java

... "time, dedication and persistence", basic recipe for a success.
