Welcome to our Community Newsletter!
We believe in the positive impact that Steem can bring to people's lives. Even if it is a small change Steem has affected our lives by our new way of doing Social Media. In our community we have many talented and eager people who go the extra mile to help others, and create amazing works (together).
These people deserve to be put in the spotlight, that is why we have created a newsletter for our community, in which we showcase the initiatives and projects of our members and the creators themselves!
We hope that these newsletters will give a glimpse of all the beautiful movements that are happening within the Steem community.
Futurethinker and The Team
The best initiatives on Steemit, are those that try and make the world a better place. When individuals rally around a cause to give back to the global community to help those less fortunate than themselves great things can happen. Promo-Mentors seeks to highlight these initiatives so others can contribute or see examples to guide them on their Steemit journey. Today we are highlighting one such initiative, The Greens, a project dedicated to cleaning up the planet, one corner at a time.
The Greens Blog chronicles their various environmental and ecological projects in the NorthWest Region of Africa. They have participated in the Creative Action Institute’s Creative Leadership Course and the Creative Facilitation Course on their journey to become a certified Creative Organization. The Greens are turning planet saving ecology into more than just a movement. They are dedicated to creating a planet saving mindset.
World Environment Day found The Greens hard at work cleaning plastic pollution from a polluted river. Armed with their slogan "If You Can't Reuse It, Refuse It" and in partnership with several local and regional groups, under the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”, The Greens are holding a week long series of events for Environment Week in the North West Region of Cameroon. By bringing their efforts to the Steemit Community, they hope to hope raise awareness, money, contributions and participation around the world in ecological events and pollution cleanup efforts. Do you enjoy learning about how things work? IS STEM your thing? Then you will want to check out Mr. KD otherwise known as Addempsea, an active STEM writer in the community.
Mr.KD writes on a wide range of STEM topics, hitting everything from XRay Radiography and the science behind Ultrasound to Cloud Computing, Carbon Sequestration, Radio Waves and more. As an added bonus, he even reviews some interesting, new tech devices!
If you are at all interested in the science, medical and tech fields, Addempsea offers clear and simple explanations for some pretty complex tech devices and scientific principles. Check out his blog and be sure to give him a shout out for the value he is bringing to the Steemit Community.
