Hello Steemit!

I'm glad to announce our Steemit Basketball League this coming Sunday 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., it's a Basketball league for Steemians who had been with us joining Basketball Meetups since its 1st week (we're now on its 7th week this Sunday). This meetup is hoping to make Steemit as a tool to conduct our recreational activities like basketball.

The Format of Basketball League

This Steemit Basketball League tournament format is designed to make everyone involved and have fun every Sunday (our scheduled day). So that everyone had the chance to play, all the teams will play every Sunday.

• The format is a Single Round Robin with 6 different teams playing with each other every Sunday.

• There will be only two quarters (1st half and 2nd half) with each half running 16 mins. continuous time (time pauses only in free throws and timeouts).

• Currently there are 8 players per team with a variety of positions players can offer. The team will select Starting 5 depending on their choice.

• Referees available will also be Steemians present on the meetup.

• A registration fee of 2 SBD is required for ever player. All of the registration SBDs will be added to the prize pool to be used as prizes.

Prizes !

Because we need 2 SBD for the registration which will be used to fund the prize pool, prizes will be as follow.

• Champion : 40% of all the SBD rewards (in cash) and will probably be around Php. 4,000.00

• 1st runner-up - 30% of all the SBD rewards (in cash) and will probably be around Php. 3,000.00

• 2nd runner-up - 20% of all the SBD rewards (in cash) and will probably be around Php. 2,000.00

• Special prize for Leading the Standings - 20% of all the SBD rewards (in cash) and will probably be around Php. 1,000.00

• Most Valuable Player of the Tournament - Prize : TBD

• Best Defensive Player - Prize : TBD

• All star Mythical Five :) - players who performed outstanding amongst other players.
