The impact of conflict, Murdan blind eye and Living Alone.

A pameo says, in every beauty there must be eyes that look, on every truth there is always ears that hear it. But is there still a pitted heart to see the suffering of others.

At that moment, the sky was so bright that the body became hot. The sun's rays not only dazzle the eyes, but make the temperature feel hotter and sting the skin.

Behind the density of the villagers' houses, there is a vast expanse of productive rice fields.
At the far end of the field is a guardrail with a garden full of shrubs. There is only a stage where the building is tilted to the left and supported with long wood to survive and not collapse instantly.

Under the shadow of a coconut tree, a slum-dressed man wearing shorts and a torn white singlet is busy hanging his laundry on a piece of nylon rope tied between two trees.

All of a sudden, strong wind gusts hit new clothes hung on a clothesline to fall to the ground and get dirty.

The brown-skinned man with the skinny posture just smiled, as he sat down crouched and stretched his palms while groping. He searched for the clothes that had fallen off his clothesline.

This condition arouse pity, he turns a blind man who tried to glean the scattered clothes. Immediately I helped her to pick up her clothes and give her.
A blind man named Murdan 55 express gratitude this year as he led into the hut. Murdan stepped slowly looked already accustomed to holding a clothesline and followed him to the end of the bond as a direction towards the hut.

When climbing the wooden stairs, Murdan even seem like a person who is not blind because it no longer runs fingering.

In that cramped and sloping room Murdan repeats his true story of a heart-wrenching past.

At that time both eyes can still see the beauty of nature and live in a family that is rich.

A number of local residents explained that the blind man's eyes were not caused by birth, but due to the violence and torture in Aceh's time as a Military Operation Area (DOM) in 1994. He was known as a victim of DOM's atrocities.

Murdan was born from a family, both parents are successful entrepreneurs who have high income from agricultural products and plantations are very broad.

Murdan is known to the public as a friendly and generous person. But his high social and humanitarian nature precisely triggered the start of his life.

In the midst of an armed conflict raging in Aceh, Murdan claims to have helped feed an armed separatist battle called the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) who asked for mercy to his home.

After that, Murdan was forcibly arrested by TNI officers and escorted to a jail cell in Makodim 0103 / Aceh Utara on suspicion of being a separatist GAM gang. For 17 days Murdan and several other civilians were interrogated by officers using violence, tortured inhumanely.

Unwilling to be guilty, Murdan was sent home to his family in a battered and wounded condition.

Since then, Murdan often complained of pain in the neck and head until he had to go to the neurologist for a long time. So he was forced to sell all his property just to pay the cost of his treatment.

The war situation was getting heated up in 2004, Murdan, who had fallen into poverty and had not recovered from his illness, was suddenly arrested again by the security forces and locked up with hundreds of other villagers at the Reulet Hill village peak camp.

As the day went on swallowed by the time, for the survival of his wife and five children who were left in a poor condition were finally forced to divorce in order to find another man who became Murdan's successor.
A year later, on August 15, 2005, GAM agreed to a ceasefire and make peace to end the war. At that time Murdan and hundreds of citizens who were detained in coaching were released.
Meksi war has subsided, but the suffering experienced by Murdan has not stopped and still continue to overwrite it with one after another.

Having lost everything, Murdan was forced to live in a reot hut in a garden owned by a resident.
Entering the year 2013, Murdan's nervous system is getting worse because unable to go to the doctor to make the pain of the head part of the relapse to make the vision becomes blurred.

"At that time I was hoeing in the fields, suddenly my eyes eyes become dark like power out at night. I sat with resignation already lost property, family, live alone, and now turn my eyes to be blind, "he complained.
Prolonged suffering makes Murdan a steadfast and patient man. Murdan blind and kara continue to survive from the helping hand of the benefactor and the community around Rangkilik Meurah Mulia Village, North Aceh District.
