I will make this short.
I was invited to speak yesterday at Hope for generations ministry secretariat, on my little experience and what i have learned on Steemit so far. It was such a huge honour to have been called to speak and help newbies as well as those who are about to get registered on how to understand Steemit better.
Much of the delight was also to have seen @tojukaka and @thelovejunkie and watch them deliver their masterpiece and watch in awe while i scribble down in my phone's notepad.
When i was giving my short speech and reiterating the need for having a genuine relationship on Steemit.
With the time allocated to me, i spoke and talked about having their mind prepared. I spoke on how i came in for the money but finally fell in love with the community and made them understand what to expect when they first join and for those who have joined, i made them understand that the challenges they are facing right now is totally normal and gave the way out.
One of the way out given is in confirmation to what @surpassinggoogle spoke about few weeks ago, which is to allow your voice to be heard, putting yourself out there and share your ideas and opinions (with thoughts) through your posts or either through your comment on other people's blog. I spoke about how i was initially losing motivation when upvotes weren't coming, even though i post, which led me to start searching for tags in areas that interests me and also putting myself out there to make my presence felt.
I have wonderful testimonies with these, as i came across amazing people through that, in persons of @everlove, @alexandravart @swissclive, @thatindianlady @artaddict @heart-to-heart @senorcoconut @debilog @futurethinker @melinda010100 @itsmechille @ponmile and so on. The list is endless and let me just stop right there and yes, you can follow these people up and interact with them. They are as open as a book and free minded. They are adorable in every sense of that word and they spice things up with their wide range of posts. Okay, that's an unpaid advert. Haha. I might charge them for it later when their followers' count, doubles. Hehehehe. Kidding.
I spoke about creating relationships on this amazing platform because relationship is the currency of Steemit as well as Steem. I spoke about how the genuine relationship has helped me gain my feet here and still helping me and i have testimonies to back it up. Getting to meet people you might never come across in life under this platform is a massive plus and you also learn! I spoke about how i knew nothing about Crytpocurrencies and how i learned it all on this platform. I encouraged them to learn, unlearn and relearn. Told them to have an open mind and that helps in any learning process.

@tojukaka spoke at lengthhhhhhhh hahahahaha and in details about blockchain and the whole idea behind it. He gave a detailed illustration and came down to everyone's level so we could all understand how it works. He answered several questions as he gave everyone the permission to interrupt him whenever a question pops up in their mind and trust me, he was hugely interrupted. He took it in stride and have answers with evidences to dispel any lingering thoughts. He is truly our superman, a real ambassador and personally, i learned A LOT!.

@thelovejunkie took to the stage and dazzled us as well. She spoke about the core values of Steemit and told us about creating quality content and the no violence rule which are also part of the core values. She told us about Steemit Ettiquet as well and even made a PowerPoint presentation to back up every of her points. She talked about making researches and not just posting anything but things of value and of substance. I was blown away too. It is such a blessing to have them around.

Oh! I couldn't help but thank @kingsolo for this amazing initiative. He must felt it was an honour that i came to speak, but trust me sir, it wad even a greater honour to have come there and see all you did and make me learn more about Steemit without any cost incurred. He even gave refreshments to every single person that came. It got to a point he had to get extra seats for those who came afterwards. What a selfless heart from an amazing being borne out of a deep sense of love for this amazing community. God bless your heart and all you do.

Love this article and this presentation. This is also what I planned doing when i get myself stabilize on steemit. Im in the process of getting to know more people here. And I believe i can do very well here at Osun State because many have not heard about steemit here.
