Recently I published a Blog talking about the importance of adding Alt Texts to your images when uploading them to your Blog.
For the ones who may have missed the Blog where I explain in simply step-by-step detail how you can add these Alt Texts, here is the link...
Adding Alt Texts - The Result
The reason for this Blog was that I wanted to show you what would happen when you add Alt Texts to your Blog Images.
If you now Google Search on "the london cryptocurrency show digixdao" you will find this....
As you can see from the above, Google picks up on the Alt Texts and ranks them higher in their Google Search.
For example, by using the words: " #Steemit ", " #Steem ", " #Promo-Steem ", " #Blog " etc etc, as Alt Texts in your Blog Images, will lift your Blog higher in the Google Ranking when someone searches on that specific search.
By lifting your Blog higher in the ranking will improve the visibility of your Blog dramatically.
Try it, add a few Alt Texts that is specific to your Blog and then search on Google to see where it gets ranked.
You may be surprised with what you see..!!

Last time I read your complete post and learned about this great feature of steemit which seems outclassed for better searching result to your steemit blog. I become fan of steemit now I don't need to use SEO because one "Alt Text" can make your blog superbly ranking on Google Engine. As everyone use Google on daily basis when they will get an image from steemit and this one is the best strategy to take new users to steemit platform.
I say Goodbye to FB when I joined steemit because of barious reasons.

Better ranking = more people joining steemit through organic traffic! If everyone would take a minute to add alt texts to their photos, I'm pretty sure we would see a nice increase in traffic from google and other search engines!

you are right @stephenkendal .. obviously if a person spend hours and hours making a blog.... putting titles , subtitles ,, different levels of headings, , separating body from headings and pictures by using
(bars) stuff bla bla .. then he should be rewarded well ...
as i was scrolling your blog ... i found similar stuff on your blog ... it really need a lot of hardwork... so if a simple blogger compares himself with you... then its not fair.
Damn I had known to put alt tags to put on my other blogs but never realised them to add on my steemit blog. Thank you for this pro tip.
