Last summer I began detailing some of the films I have been watching-- mainly Westerns like The Dollars Trilogy, Hang Em High, Days of Wrath, One Eyed Jacks, & Dirty Fifteen but also others like The Shape Of Things To Come and John Wick. I haven't written about EVERY film or show I have watched this past year, but I will continue blogging about the good ones.

They don't make TV shows like this anymore, each episode is like a movie.
The pilot episode establishes Vincent Terranova, an undercover Federal agent coming out of prison, getting assigned to Sonny Steelgrave's illegitimate business operations. He gets a job as a waiter at his resteraunt, then intentionally spills dish bucket liquid all over Sonny and challenges him to a fistfight. After a decent fight, Sonny invites Vincent to a rematch and brings him into his circle.

I saw a Breaking Bad interview and they said they needed Saul Goodman to dispose of a body but the actor wasn't available, so they started looking for someone else. They saw Jonathan Banks in the casting and were like "That's the guy from Wise guy!" and then hired him as Mike.

In episode 3 some Sicilian nephew is causing trouble, betraying Steelgrave and trying to run his own scams in the middle of a gang war that has erupted with the Rastafarians.

Vinnie is trying to date this Ginne girl but she knows he is a cop from all the tells.

This show is really enjoyable to watch, although I have to pause it and resume later. It's taken me a week to watch 3 episodes, but at least it will keep me entertained for a while.
