RE: High-Power Journey: From 2,300 to 9,000 Hive and What’s Next

I find that writing about the things I enjoy is pretty much key - Engagement is hit or miss, but that's okay since I know my content is pretty niche and there's only a handful of folks with interest in it, and that's fine. The folks who do comment are rock solid though, and that's really nice.

HIVE is definitely going to be better for you if you commit to the long haul. There's no magic money wagon here (mostly), so just being around and talking about the stuff that brings you joy is going to go a long way over time.

Congrats on 8800, that's a great spot to be in! I hope you're able to reach your 10k goal!

Dang, you mean I can’t just get a free ride to riches and ride off into the sunset?!? Darn!

I do agree, though, it’s definitely better to commit to the long haul.

I’ve tried blogging with an emphasis on SEO and made some decent money, but it was boring and unfulfilling. I felt like I was just chasing SEO rather than offering genuinely useful information to those who found it.

That wasn’t what I wanted to do. I wasn’t really in it for the money (though it was nice); I wanted to provide useful information to help others.

Thank you for the words encouragement!

Haha yep I hear that. I tried that kind of blogging game too back in the day but it's just not able to hold me. I find talking about tabletop gaming and other stuff I enjoy to be the best... I'd do this without HIVE, so the community and a modest reward is a big bonus.

I've been interested in getting into D&D, and I actually have a few coworkers who are into it. But honestly, I'm a bit intimidated about diving in!

It's a lot of fun, and less involved than you might think! If you get a chance to sit in on a game you should do it, they'll help you know what to do.
