Yes. This image is 100% my own image. The picture was taken on a boat with my camera. The coins were added through an art program on my cell phone^^
The article gives me a headache and I'm not sure what to think anymore. I see I was greedy at times but those times gave birth to creations that were good. I think the world uses greed as a motivator for many things and I would rather not.
I see the same thing in my classroom. Kids are super competitive. I don't even offer a prize and they are greedy for attention or recognition or just to win. I don't like it but without that motivator the kids would be more interested in what was on the lunch menu than what they are learning. The use of greed definitely needs professional supervision. Maybe I willl change my contest to "Generous Yellow Bird Challenge".
Perhaps "Professionally Monitored Greedy Yellow Bird Challenged"? Anyone capable of feeling or detecting greed would qualify to be a monitor. Of course, those people that can't would have to be monitored too.

I don't think we can avoid greed. I feel that greed and envy are driving factors towards improvement in society, but it can be taken to extremes.

Lust and gluttony are easy to spot, but can you recognize which one is greed?
