Will you commit not to convert HBD to Hive?
It's essential as Hive is bleeding without any perspective to mend things. Buying Hive on internal market does not create additional inflation. You might also use Magi service for HBD swaps if they ever launch.
You know, I debated very heavily on including a section on how I plan to use these funds, because I don't think that should be a precedent set for any other proposals (your money is your money, just like we shouldn't be trying to enforce rules on spending on content creators or speculators) but I also really did think that it might be helpful bit of info for people who are as concerned as the rest of us about the current state of the market. I think it is an absolutely fair question. I actually have no plans on dumping this in any one go or up front, and ideally would like to stretch this for another few years in a similar fashion to how I've managed to stretch my resources now coming up on the six.
using https://www.hiveinflation.com/ to check on my all time historical flows of reimbursements (and the 100k to binance in the two transfers for the ongoing marketing campaign a few years ago) you can actually see through turned up transfers that I haven't converted for quite some time, even though that would be 'advantageous' to me. I share your– and probably most people's– sentiment that it is too easy for inflation to go wild if our hbd reserves start getting converted en mass. I have governed my own necessary transactions in accordance to that belief regardless if anyone has been watching. I use the internal market specifically, regardless of slippage, because it is a better and healthier method for the ecosystem when I do need to move funds off chain. Especially with having these funds and preparing to hold a lot of them again potentially over the coming years, I don't believe it would be fair to use them to earn hbd interest on etc, or convert immediately at all time lows and then cash in when the price goes up to arbitrage, even though that would also both be possible, a smart choice to build out an even greater runway and continue to increase my skin in the game. I wouldn't hold someone else to that standard either, but it is has been an unspoken one that I do have for myself. It is a tricky line to uphold the system that is 100% made for people to use their funds exactly how they want with no one being able to stop them and recognizing that doing the best thing for that system may actively not perfectly aligned with my own best interests. So I did cut that section from the proposal rather than muddy the waters.
