Serious people, stressed out Mums, hard workers, those who are struggling...

Is life too serious now? We have to look amazing, build a career, get wealthy, survive dealing with people and do it all with perfect poise and calmness. No wonder we are anxious. Heck, I'm anxious doing my writing on reducing anxiety!

Have we lost the art of letting go and just being silly?

Being silly is a distraction, but it does have a hidden benefit. The more you do it, the more it changes your internal chemistry. You change the way you use your body and it will change how you feel over time.

Before your next anxious event (or even right now), why not sing your favourite song really loudly, with a big goofy smile on your face, while skipping and clapping your hands vigorously for 2 MINUTES!

If you're really anxious atm, it's probably the last thing you feel like doing! That is the reason why it works. It gets your body into a different state. Try this for the full 2 MINUTES and I promise you will feel different afterwards...

That's me for today, dropping the seriousness and I think I may just go for a skip and sing right now!
