Wow what a beautiful article. I feel many time if we just stop and listen we can learn so much about people, you are right... they give you clues.
I also think we feel the need to fix a problem and therefore are not even focusing on what the person is really saying, but rather just trying to get them to hear are solution per say.
Clearing your mind to truly listen, without prejudice... love this... imagine how different the world could be if we all could master the art of listening.

Whenever I feel the message I tried to convey through my writing has been fully grasped my someone, I feel warmth in my heart! And your words have made my heart warm. Yes, imagine how different, families, societies, the work environment and, therefore, the world could be if only each one of us took the responsibility to empathically listen to one another.
