As we have learned in school, human beings evolved from animals and have some similar characteristics, as our DNA is evolving still. We can say that human beings are not only “prey animals”, we are also “predators”. Moreover, in some life situations we are like absolutely insane chimpanzees out there mucking about with things taking the world apart and putting it back together. Everyone who is old enough will admit this statement, as our species are sometimes crazy, having urge to explore. We just can’t avoid troubles sometimes.
Cave
Our past is part of us, as DNA is spreading from one generation to another. I must say that I feel our ancestors were wiser then modern men, when awareness of ourselves is concerned. For example, in initiation rituals among archaic people, when they are going to initiate usually young men, they were putting them in a cave and leave them there. What was the reason for that? Caves are dark, man! Being in the cave, your fear will arise, is there something in there and you don’t know what exactly is there. More importantly, THERE IS WHATEVER YOU IMAGINE MIGHT BE IN THE CAVE. When you are in the cave (literally or symbolically) and you are alone, you are confronting the devils, demons and monsters of you own imagination. Staying in that cave, you have a chance to deal with all fears and overcome them. That is perhaps part of the initiation ceremony. It is part of growing up because you have to learn how to face the things that upset and terrify you.
Hero journey
For one of the fathers of psychoanalysis, Carl Jung, hero journey was the journey INSIDE OF UNCONSCIOUS MIND. To make it simple, that would be the willingness to face everything terrible all that has happened to you. Furthermore, you need to think it through and to ARTICULATE IT. Jung’s idea was claiming that the first step towards individuation was the discovery of your own shadow. Your shadow is the part of you that will do terrible things under the right circumstances. Modern people don’t think much about idea good and evil but that is because most of them are ignorant or naive, as Jung claims. If you read any history with real interest and you don’t come away with the idea that evil exists, I must tell you, you are just reading wrong kind of history. It is unbelievable what people can do to each other. We have the knowledge of good and evil because we know about ourselves, we know about our own vulnerability. Once you know what hurts you, being creative as being, you can really hurt someone else. That happens a lot to people, more than you think! You know that kind of people I am sure. You need to take that into account, when you see the world and all people out there. For Jung the pathway to higher wisdom is through portal of “hell”. I hope you are getting now what that means.
Who wants to do that, man?!
When unpleasant situation happens in our life, very unpleasant feeling comes with that. I am sure you had that feeling of being resentful. All of us have gone through that. In this case you have two options.
Firstly, to accept responsibility and quit complaining, as I have explained in my previous post, or secondly, when someone is actually pushing you hard and bullying you and you have something to say or do that you are not saying or doing. This is your biggest mistake. Although, It is much easier to be quiet, solution is opposite of that.
What happens when we feel resentment?
Obviously, when we are quiet and we want to speak up for things that make us upset, we create resentment in us. I must say, if that happens for a long run, it can just get out of hand. It is pretty much scary as we can turn ourselves into MONSTERS. Usually, it starts with resentment and then continues with desire for revenge, and on and on till we lose ourselves. For instance, you might be tempted to play nasty little tricks with that person who is doing against you. All that puts you in a poisonous space. Slowly, you turn yourself into evil person, justifying to yourself that it is you who is victim here. If you have in your head, how terrible the world is, you will get to the point in some time that existence itself is a kind of poisonous endeavor. Then you can turn yourself into crazy person having aim to go out there and create as much mess as you can, as you are mess inside. That is the dark place I am writing about. That is bad road!
Bloody say it!
Felling of resentment can show you that you’ve got something to say, and you are keeping it. The point is, you better say it! You need to free yourself from what is suppressing you. Stand up for that! You get to tell people what you are thinking. In this sense, it doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong. At least you will start expressing yourself. On the way, people that care about you can tell you if you are wrong somewhere or telling something that is stupid. That is perfectly fine. It will be useful for you to be less stupid in the future. I know this is hard as ego comes along. Who said self development is easy?
Mostly we like talking with people who are agreeing with us, but we are ignorant to understand we will stay stupid that way as we wont learn anything new.

There is no good or evil , there is balance and unbalance .
We clearly are a bunch of miner-slaves that where left by there masters .
Our race is unbalanced and certainly not an asset to the Earth .

Resentment is a pretty complex feeling, but it usually comes after the injustice, the wish and desire for revenge can exist separated or with it alike. The worst we can do is to neglect the feelings we have and opinions we wish to share.
True. For that reason it is important to speak up, not to develop that possibility for resentment to lead into need for revenge.

caves scare me, though this year I started to visit some again. I am doing an album that´s called FEAR no More, it's all about overcoming fear. "befriend your fears so they can drag you down". My fantasy world involves monster but the lead character learns she is in part one of "them" and take the fear as a learning lesson. There are many motifs in the songs (and all my music and songs) Become, onwards, forwards, THROUGH
It's good inspiration for you as an artist. :)
