Yes, I can relate. I don't find it annoying, though. My take on it is: you "mirror" people on a subconscious level in order to be liked, or to show interest in a person. It is a helpful tool, once you are conscious of the fact that you are doing it. For instance, when you meet a new potential friend, you might hold your head the same way that she does, because subconsciously, she will perceive that you are someone who might perhaps be like-minded. I often "mirror" speech patterns to connect with people.
